Mapua school gathered round on the old court, waiting and waiting, for our time. Finally, The teachers asked for us to put our coins on the Daffodil. Daffodil day is to give money, and remember the people who have and had cancer. On our courts, every year on Daffodil day, one of our best drawers in the school draws a Daffodil for our whole school to place a coin on. Every single coin is taken to the Cancer Society.
We are a polite group of 22 learners keen to get fit, learn, work hard, be nice to others and have fun. We are tidy because we put objects back when we have used them and we do our afternoon jobs which also helps keep our school tidy. We are organised and ready to go when the first bell rings (well most of us are!)

Daffodil day!
